Business Class to Hannover

Hannover is dubbed the largest city forest of Europe. There are many fairs and expositions that Hannover hosts but that is not all that it offers. Sights in this fantastic city range from numerous castles and churches and even two town halls, one is old and historical and the other, new. Among the many castles, you have to see the Castle of Hannover (of course). It is located in the old town of Celle where the Dukes of Braunschweig-Luneburg took his residence in 1378. None of the medieval structures of the castle survived though and what you’re actually looking at is the castle rebuilt in 1530 in renaissance style by the Duke Ernst der Bekenner. The castles façade was further developed by Duke Georg Wilhelm, the last duke to live here in the 18th century. Another castle to see in Hannover is the Castle Marienburg. This was built between the years of 1857 and 1866 by King Georg V of Hannover as a gift to his wife, Marie. The structure is of a neogothic style and looks like a castle you would find in fairy tale books. It now houses a museum that displays objects from the lives of Hannovrian kings and the Welfen.

With regard to churches, the Church of Idensen is one that you would see in Hannover. It is built in the Romanesque style with four altars that are consecrated to St. Ursula and the 11000 Virgins. Inside, the walls are decorated with byzantine style fresco paintings by different popular painters in 1120-40. In the ancient settlement of Mandelsloh, they had a church there for many centuries. A new one was built though in 1175 that had a cross shaped basilica and low timber ceilings. The tower of the Church of Mandelsloh is made of ironstone that was added in the 15th century. Paintings adorn the inside of the church and among them, the 1425 painting of St. Osdag.

Business Travel Guide

See the Old Town Hall and the New Town Hall in Hannover. The old one was built over a period of more than 100 years. It depicts the passage of time in Hannover and is a great symbol of its history. The New Town Hall was opened in June 20, 1913 but the architectural style in which it was built makes one think it is a relic from the time that Hannover was still a kingdom. To see a number of wild animals in Hannover, you must visit the Tiergarten. This is a recreational forest of 112 hectares that was created for hunting by Duke Johan Friedrich in 1678.

Climate: The climate in Hannover is mild and temperate year in and year out. For this reason, Hannover is a good city to visit any time of the year. Summers range from 20 to 22 degrees Celsius. Be warned that the days aren’t always dry in Hannover as July and August are the months for thunderstorms.

Transportation: You can get around and see the sights in Hannover using the suburban railway. You can also take the bus to destinations within the city and its surroundings.

In arriving at Hanover/Langenhagen International Airport, be sure to rest before you begin visiting the attractions in which you have planned. The Sheraton Hannover Pelikan Hotel is a five star luxury hotel in the center of Hannover. Rossini Degustazione, a restaurant given five stars by its guest, offers a variety of delicious homemade pastas and Italian cuisine as well as a nice setting. If you prefer to get around town in a private vehicle without the disturbance of the public, Running Wolves Limousine Service offers its customers great service in transportation.
