Scoot, the low cost offshoot of Singapore Airlines is introducing another deal before its 26th June launch. The business class tickets Scoot Biz is now being sold for $321 for the Gold Coast and Sydney to Singapore route. The price is for one way flight.

ScootBiz seats

Scoot’s business class however isn’t exactly what one would expect of a business class on an international flight. In fact it has more similarities to the business class seats found regionally in Europe and Asia or even to the premium economy on other international airlines.

With a recline of 8 inch and a seat pitch of 38 inches it is exactly what you would find as the premium economy on major airliners like Cathay Pacific, Virgin Atlantic and Qantas.

But this doesn’t quite come as a surprise as the seats for the Scoot were designed by Zim, the German firm as premium economy seats. However the color scheme of the cabin and seats is much better and includes some specials like AC power sockets and integrated footrests for each seat.

The Scoot biz cabin has 32 such leather clad seats and is situated in the front end of the Boeing 777-200s purchased by Scoot.

There are also some other material comforts provided to compensate the ScootBiz fare and this includes preferred seat selection and priority boarding. Scoot has provided a dedicated Scoot Biz counter to fast track the passenger check-in. Depending on the flight being taken you will be provided with 1 or 2 free meals and drinks.

As for luggage you can carry 2 bags of maximum 15kilo weight as carry-on baggage and your checked baggage can weigh a maximum of 20kilos. The in-flight entertainment includes an iPad 2 that is preloaded with TV shows, movies, games, digital editions of magazines and ebooks and for overnight flights you will also be provided with a comfort kit.
