Vienna is considered one of the largest cities in Austria. It is located in the northeastern part and east of the Dnaube River in the country. Vienna is very famous for its magnificent old building architectures, century old churches and grand museums. It is also a city where opera and classical music are highly regarded. Although the place is a bit laid back as far as modernity is concerned, it is nothing short of the beauty due to its rich culture, arts and music. Sports and recreation is also one of the best things you can expect from such a beautiful Austrian city. The most popular modern attractions are the United Nations Headquarters, Donauturm and Hundertwasserhaus.

Climate: Vienna climate is relatively warm, especially during summer season but winters can get extremely cold dropping to the freezing point. You can enjoy the snowfall in the city from December to March while precipitation is moderate almost every year. The best weather to visit the city is during spring and fall.

Transportation: Travelling in and out of Vienna is easy because of its extensive network of transportation. Commuters can choose from quite a few types of public transports such as buses and trams but the most commonly used are the subway trains that have five subway lines.
