Travel Guide - Seoul

One step in Incheon International Airport located in Yeongjong Island and you will immediately be witness to the mystery and beauty of Seoul, Korea.  Seoul is the capital of Korea and represents the country’s business, education, and political center. Being the most populous city, it is currently the hub for modern culture that includes nightly shows, restaurants, amusement parks, and other activities that will entertain and inspire tourists. Nature’s view is also as its finest since the city is practically surrounded by mountains with Namsan springing up in the center. A window to the past is offered by the museums and palaces where you will appreciate Korea in a different perspective.

The best known areas in Seoul are Sinchon, Hongdae, Apkujung, Kangnam, and Chongno. Some of these places are located around the University belt of Seoul – Yonsei, Hongik, Sogang, Ewha Universities - where there is a combination of student housing, cheap motels and western-style bars quite in contrast to the more pricey and Itaewon. The latter is a well known area for foreigners and tourists and is considered to be the best in Seoul where authentic foreign foods are served ranging from Indian, Italian, German, French to Irish. Quite close to Itaewon is the Namsan Tower which gives a spectacular view of the south-central Seoul.
