Climate: Summers in Rome are hot, with temperatures often passing 95 F at midday. August is the time you will find many businesses closed, as the owner’s vacation to cooler climates. Mid-winter is mild, the average temperature in December is right around 55 F. Springtime is the best traveling time with blue skies. Rain showers occur throughout the year.
