Climate: The city of Palermo in Sicily experiences a coastal or Mediterranean climate that displays mild and wet winter seasons and hot and dry summer days and nights. The places near mountainous regions are cooler. Snow fall is common during the winter months. Palermo is actually the warmest cities in Sicily with lots of sunny and hot weather temperatures every year. Transportation: Sicily is a famous mafia territory during the early nineties. In fact, it is a famous country in mafia movies. Paolo Borsellino and Giovanni Falcone, two anti-mafia judges, were killed by the mafia in the nineties and so the Falcone-Borsellino Airport was dedicated to them. The airport is more popularly known as the Palermo International Airport. The city has a metro railway system that maintains two lines, the Metropolitana di Palermo. Other forms of public transports in Palermo include buses, car hires, and taxis. |
