April is a good month to visit the city of Liverpool because this is the time when The Grand National takes place, the most popular horse race in the world. Of course, don't miss going to the Cavern Club and The Beatles Museum. July is best for this tour for it is when Beatles Day is celebrated in the city with parades and live concerts. Your Liverpool experience won't be complete with enjoy at least one night in the city's premier nightlife destinations such as cafes, bars and restaurants. Climate: Like most cities in the British Isles, Liverpool experiences relatively mild winter seasons and cool summers. The weather in the city is highly unpredictable and the different weather variations - sunshine, rain, cloudy and windy - can all happen within a day. Summer seasons are usually sunny and warm while winter season are generally cold and rainy. Transportation: The city of Liverpool has a local railway network that is managed by Merseyrail that provides travels to other cities in the country. Commuters also have access to a national network managed by the Network Rail that is connected to major cities and towns all throughout England. Its primary station is the Lime Street Station. Commuters in the city are serviced by buses, ferries, and of course, local rail network. |
