Japan is also famous for its love for robots which can be seen in many of their modern literature like comics, magazines and television shows. It is well known for a great fiction creature called "Godzilla", a dinosaur that terrorizes the country. This ancient creature, they say, has been inspired by the many series of earthquakes that happened to Japan, leaving millions dead and the country in ruins. True enough, Japan sits on the Pacific Ring of Fire, the name given to the location of three tectonic plates that frequently cause low-intensity tremor and volcanic activity. This is the reason why there are many beautiful hot spring resorts in the country. Climate: Japan has beautiful and amazing weathers called temperate where winters and summers are generally mild and has never become extremely cold or extremely hot. The country is also divided into six climactic zones mainly Hokkaido with long temperate climates, cold winter and cool summer, Sea of Japan with heavy snowfall during wintertime, Central Highland with a typical inland climate, Seto Inland Sea with mild weather throughout the year, Pacific Ocean with snow fall and hot humid summers and Ryukyu Islands where typhoons are most common. Rainy season in Japan begins in May in Okinawa, June in Honshu and July in Hokkaido. Typhoons often bring heavy rains during late summer and early fall.
