Brussels is a place where arts and historical collections are highly regarded. The city is also a heaven for many shopaholics or specialty store hunters for unique souvenirs and presents. Climate: Brussels is generally pleasant all year round where it is considered an oceanic climate which means that the city often times experience warm winters and moderately cool summers. The wetlands surrounding the city experiences temperate climate and on an average, Brussels experiences at least 200 days of rain per year. Snowfall happens at least once a year or every couple of years. Transportation: Flights to Brussels from London are easy anytime of the year and people are serviced by underground railway systems. Its high-speed railway networks connect Brussels with other cities in Europe. It also has quality buses and tram lines. In the 2003, the city introduced a new form of transportation called the car-sharing service and now operated by the Bremen Company. Car-sharing is a local company taxi stop where passengers share taxi rides. Then in 2006, shared-bicycles where also introduced as part of their drive to save on fuel and reduce environmental pollution. With this active and well maintained transportation services, it is easy to visit almost 100 various museums, both humble and grand. |
