Don’t Worry About the Cost: Business Class Travel Pays in Other Ways

If we could all have our own way, all our flights would be business class. However, for too many people the decision of whether to travel business often comes down to the perceived high cost of luxury travel. Yet with many airlines offering great prices on business travel, fares aren’t what they used to be. Now, luxury travel is open to many more people. Now, it’s time to look at the benefits – and not the cost – of flying business class. To paraphrase John F. Kennedy, it’s time to start asking not what you can do for business class travel, but what business class travel can do for you.

Once you understand why business class is popular, you begin to look at it differently. Rather than letting the fares alone dictate whether you do or don’t fly, you’ll know that it pays to travel well. In a world of quickly sewn-up deals and tough negotiations, it can be the fine line between a meeting going well and a meeting going great.

Arriving Fresh and Ready for Action

Clearly, nobody told jet-lag, the scourge of international travel, that it needs to play ball. Even a modest time difference can create problems for seasoned international travelers. However, this issue only remains true for economy class passengers; the perks of flying business class are such that you’ll land as fresh as a new morning. Take, for example, this short selection of benefits:

Priority Boarding

If you’ve spent any time in airports, you know that clearing security and waiting to board can be a stressful ordeal. By traveling business class, you’ll breeze past the lines. Before boarding the plane, you can wait in style in the airlines elite lounge. You’ll also be the first person off the plane, so you’ll be on your way to your hotel in no time at all.

Extra Comfortable Seating

‘Extra comfortable seating’ doesn’t quite do it justice: business class seating is incredible. In some cases, you’ll even have a bed. At the very least, you can expect to be more comfortable on your flight than most people are in their living rooms. This means you’ll land feeling refreshed and ready to hit the boardroom.

Getting the Work Done

In between climbing over people to reach your laptop and the small personal area, working in economy class is usually more trouble than it’s worth. This is not the case in business class, where plenty of room, Wi-Fi, and space for your laptop makes getting down to work as easy as 1, 2, 3. It used to be that flying was considered “dead time”, but, with business class getting ever more luxurious, it’s now your very own movable office.
