Transportation: Public transportation in Hamburg includes nine public transit railway stations. The U-Bahn is underground commuter train. The AKN railway connects the city to many satellite towns surrounding the city. The gaps in the extensive railway system in the city and the country are serviced by buses with more than 600 bus routes. There are also six commuter ferry lines in the city that are also used for sightseeing trips.
