Other best tourist spots worth visiting in Düsseldorf are the rococo castle Schloss Benrath, the Gothic Basilica of St Lambertus, the baroque church of St Andreas, the old town hall that was built in 1573, Rathausufer, the statue of Jan-Wellem-Reiterdenkmal at Rathausplatz, the Schlossturm Tower at Burgplatz and the Stadterhebungsdenkmal. Some of these places have long names that are too difficult to pronounce but are too easy to like.

Climate: Visiting the city of Düsseldorf is best during the months of May and September due to abundant warm and sunny weathers. Even the winter months in the city are fairly mild although occasional snow and frost are experienced during the months of December, January and February. Spring time arrives with plenty of sunshine in March and April. The weather temperatures begin to rise in May and onwards but rain showers and thunderstorms unpredictably happen within any particular day of the summer months.

Transportation: The city of Düsseldorf is served by a large international airport located 40 kilometers from the city called Dusseldorf Monchengladbach. Long distance train stations serve the city for both national and regional services. The Deutsche Bahn railway network has more than a thousand train stops in the city every day. The buses are also efficient public city transports. Metered taxi transports are also plentiful in the city but fares should be discussed with drivers first before riding in one especially when the service will be used in long trips in and around the city.

During day time, Dusseldorf offers tourist different attractions, whether it be museums, historical institutes, parks, gardens, theaters, sport arenas, etc. Among many, Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen K20 (Grabbeplatz) and K21 (Ständehaus), are two art collections which both offer plenty of fun and traditional collections from Dusseldorf. Another, Rheinturm meaning Rhine Tower, is the highest building and landmark in Dusseldorf. If you’re looking for a more historical museum which focuses on the city itself, Stadtmuseum is a great museum to check out. Botanischer Garten Düsseldorf, a contemporary botanical garden, offers a quite area with plenty of nature.

Just as its day time has plentiful attractions and visits, as well does its nightlife. Music is popular in Germany; however Dusseldorf is well into electronic music and has a great contribution to the internationally known band Kraftwerk. Many international tourist and Germans whom seek a fun and exciting nightlife go out on Bolkerstraße Street, the main street.

The locals on the other hand which consists of students and the more creative and young people spend time at Ratinger Straße and Kurze Straße, which have more bars. There is also a popular carnival which begins once a year on November 11 and ends on Ash Day. This carnival is very cultural and one of the biggest in Dusseldorf and has a parade and plenty of fun festivities.
