Every traveler uses public transportation at some point along their journeys, yet subway and metro stations are some of the least appreciated forms of architecture in the world. In fact, several of the world’s metro stations have been designed by famous architects and manage to put a positive spin on what would, otherwise, be a dull commute. So, next time you’re traveling, stop and take a moment to appreciate the sometimes quiet beauty of a subway station.
