Uluru, more commonly known is Ayers Rock, is a huge, red sandstone rock formation that sits like a complacent giant in the Australian Northern Territory. Some 450 kilometers from the nearest town, Uluru is isolated and beautiful, and only those who truly try can ever see this amazing sight. Many myths and legends surround Uluru, and the mountain is said to be the last remaining peak of an ancient mountain range that is now all but eroded.
The many nooks and crannies around the rock reveal hidden caves, tiny springs and an assortment of other fascinating geological features, and the magic of the place is one experienced by so few that it remains one of the last truly inspiring places on earth.
