The largest International airline, Emirates, is currently advertising for 4000 crew
members for the their new additions of Airbus superjumbos. This will be the biggest fleet among the industry. These advertisements are being conducted through Spotify, the online music producer.

The airline will be adding five A380s which are double-decked and seat 517 passengers.
This will make for A380 crafts and the airline will need to boost flight attendant
numbers up to 16,000 through March.

The popular social networking site, Facebook, may follow as well as Emirates works to
recruit tech-savvy, English-speaking recruits from the ages of 21 to 30. Abu Dhabi’s Etihad and Qatar Airways are also increasing staff. Emirates is aiming to leverage as the long distance market leader and to become the most popular employer among candidates.

The company is facing a massive hiring challenge as it quickly grows. Emigrates looks
at Nike and Apple as inspirational brands and are expecting to class themselves in the
same league. That when hired for Emigrates people will think a position of status.

Qatar Competition

The airlines is hoping to establish Dubai  as an inter-continental hub with the building of the
fleet and gain passengers from Lufthansa, British Airways and Air FranceKLM Group
while blocking Etihad and Qatar Air. The company does not intend to cut flights due to
the rising oil prices which threaten the profitability of some destinations and tends to
combat the situation with the offering of less expensive tickets according to President
Tim Clark.

The second largest Middle Eastern airline is Qatar Air which has 91 jetliners of various
sizes. The company is expected to operate 290 planes by 202 according to CEO Akbar al
Baker.

The No. 3 regional airlines is Etihad which is not pursuing an expansive growth plan
states James Hogan, the company’s CEO. The company currently has 20 A380s, 103 jets,
57 wide body plans, 35 Boeing 787s and 25 Airbus A350s.

It is agreed that Emirates will succeed in holding off rivals to recruit the cream of the
staff crop as stated by chief Khan.
