Cathay Pacific Airways - Business Class

Founded in 1946 by Australian Sydney de Kantzow and American Roy Farrell, Cathay Pacific Airways is the flag carrier of Hong Kong. Hong Kong International Airport serves as the main hub for the airline although the registered office of Cathay Pacific Airways is situated on the 33rd floor of One Pacific Place. The parent company of Hong Kong's national airline is Swire Pacific. Cathay Pacific is one of the founding members of a global airline alliance, OneWorld. It has two subsidiaries; Dragonair and Air Hong Kong. Airport lounges include The Arrival, The Pier, The Wing, The Cabin and G16 Lounge.

Cathay Pacific Airways offers three travel classes to its passengers at present; Business Class, First Class and Economy. The airways plans to launch the fourth class i.e. Premium Economy on March, 2012. First Class offers the travelers with a fully flat bed, a massager, personal closet, and an ottoman for a guest or stowage. Initially, the business class offered herringbone style seating; however, after receiving much criticism for the inconvenience and aloofness of the seats, it has re-designed the whole class seats altogether. Now the new Business Class features conventionalism focusing on passengers' comfort and private. The business and first class also serves specialty cuisines with many different options to choose from.

The airways will be offering its first Premium Economy on Boeing 777-300ER with a 77G configuration. The new Economy Class will offer a coat hook with a fixed back design so that reclining passengers do not disrupt the comfort of those behind them.
