British Airways - Business Class

The national flag carrier of UK, British Airways is the largest airline in UK based on fleet size, number of destinations and international flights. BA is based in Waterside with its main hub at Heathrow Airport, London. The airline was founded in 1974 and started its operation the same year. BA Cityflyer, Open Skies and British Airways World Cargo are the subsidiaries of British Airways.

The slogan of the company is "To Fly. To Serve." The CEO of the airline is Keith Williams and the Chairman is Martin Broughton. British Airways was second to the leading airline based on the number of passengers flying; it carried 34.6 million passengers in 2008 but was passed by a low-cost carrier competitor, easyJet, which transported 44.5 million passengers the same year. The staff working for BA is represented by a number of trade unions; the cabin crew is represented by British Airlines Steward and Stewardess Association, the pilots by British Airline Pilots Association and other crew by Unite the Union.

Passengers flying first class on the British Airways enjoy a 6 feet 6 inch bed, a personal entertainment screen and in-seat power. There have been some upgrades to the first class service since 2009. The airline introduced an innovative Next Generation New World Club in 2006, taking the Business Class service to a whole new level. Frequent flying programs are offered to BA enthusiasts with opportunities to win free air tickets. The crew is hospitable and always seeking to please the first class flyers of British Airways.
